Top 5 Holiday Movies! | BLOGMAS No. 8

This post is totally biased and my opinion as they are my favorite holiday movies that give me all of the cozy comforting vibes. I have watched some of these every year and others are new or every so often. I will leave a short description of what I like about the and might do some honorable mentions as well! I hope you get inspired to watch a new film or rekindle with an old movie! I should preface that they are in no particular order. Go get your hot chocolate brewing and your pop corn going!

Klaus (2019): I watched this movie last year and it was such a great film! It is a cartoon and is great for kids, it allows the traditional view of Santa to be expanded and gives the holidays a modern twist without giving up the holiday charm. My favorite character is the mail man, he is just so goofy and true to his character, he made me laugh to say the least!

The Grinch (2000): This movies has become such a classic even inspiring a cartoon remake, makeup collaborations, and many many more things. The Grinch is great for all ages it allows everyone in your family to connect to a character that will make everyone laugh. My favorite character is the, the, the GRINCH!

The Polar Express (2004): THIS IS MY ALL TIME FAVE. Sorry, not sorry! I knew I wasn't going to play favorite but this is just so cozy feels to me. I love being able to see the North Pole and there is something so whimsical about the train and the adventure that he goes on. My favorite character is Billy, he is so sweet and just happy to be there.

Home Alone 1+2 (1990-1992): I mean do I even have to say much? This movie is my brothers favorite Christmas Movie, the amount of ties I've seen it is absurd, so that is the only reason it is not my number one, but it is a very close runner up. My favorite character is Harry and Marv, they are basically one character. But if I had to choose I'd choose Marv, he goes through the worst pranks in my opinion and is just so awkward that it makes you laugh.

The Holiday (2006): This movie is not as funny, but it still has its moments it is a romantic holiday movie. I love anything with Cameron Diaz so obviously her character Amanda is my favorite. This movie will remind you of a family member and make you miss being near your family these holidays as we will not be able to see our extended families.

Honorable Mentions

The Chronicles (2018) *skip the sequel*, I loved the original and when my husband and I saw that there was a sequel with Goldie I got so excited! If you didn't know Kurt Russel is one of my favorite actors and is not married to Goldie but they have been together for years! I was excited to see their on screen chemistry, oh boy! I am not going to say their acting was bad or the on screen chemistry wasn't there because it was. The script or story whatever you ant to call it took way too many turns that it didn't need to and I hated the elves. The ending was cheesy and not very satisfying you could've guessed it in the first ten minutes. Stick to the original.

The Santa Clause(1994): Now I like this movie and its funny, but I neve loved it and gave me a creepy vibe. I cannot quite put my finger on it but it is a great story and the animation is pretty nice for the time it was made in. My favorite character is Bernard the elf.
