Top 5 Fragrances | BLOGMAS No. 17

I feel like fragrance is such a personal statement, it causes a pheromonal reaction and leaves an impression on those who get close enough to smell you. I truly believe that a fragrance on a woman should only be smelled if you are very close to her, I hate it when someone walks by and you're hit in the face by their fragrance. My biggest pet peeve is when a man or a woman smells like laundry detergent!! Ughhhh how gross! Sorry that is a personal opinion but I cannot stand it. I will be showing you my top five fragrances that vary in price but again fragrance is a very personal decision what I may like you might not so be sure to visit your local department store and ask to smell them or get a free sample before you purchase it. Fragrances change on everyone's skin due to the pheromones mixing with everyone differently. Once again they are not in any particular order.

1. Creed, Love In White For Summer: This fragrance is only available in small batches because its not a scent carried year round by the brand. I know this fragrance is the priciest on the list but it is unique and you will not smell like the person next to you! It is my go to Spring/Summer fragrance it s much fresher than the rest on my list.

Fragrance Family: Floral

Scent Type: Citrus Florals

Key Notes:  Bulgarian Rose, Florentine Iris, Ambergris

2. Giorgio Armani, Si: This fragrance was introduced to me on behalf of my mom, I lived on Viva La Juicy Couture all throughout high school, this is the more mature version of it. I cannot thank my mom enough for this discovery it is the perfect sweet, floral, musky scent.

Fragrance Family: Floral

Scent Type: Fruity Florals

Key Notes: Rose, Woody Vanilla

3. Chanel, Coco Noir: This scent reminds me of my wedding day, on my wedding day I wore Chanel No. 5. This was a gift from my mom and she actually gave me this tip to only wear a fragrance for that day and my honeymoon and then only again on our anniversary. So that scent is very nostalgic to me considering I love Marylin Monroe and that was one of the scents she was known for wearing. However, No. 5 is very distinctive, it is old timey in the sense that we are used to a greater mixture of scents not so basic. Coco Noir, is the hipper version of No. 5 in my opinion and I always get complimented by others when I wear it. If you prefer lighter scents the Mademoiselle would be a better option for you.

Fragrance Family: Floral

Scent Type: Classic Florals

Key Notes: Jasmine Absolute, Bourbon Vanilla, Rose Absolute

4. Prada, Candy: This is my most complimented fragrance that I wear. I to be very honest am not the biggest fan of this one as I think it is a bit too sweet but do still wear very often because obviously people like it on me, and I am not talking about my family or my husband. Total strangers will walk up to me asking me what I am wearing so that says something.

Fragrance Family: Warm and Spicy

Scent Type: Warm and Sweet Gourmands

Key Notes: White Musks, Benzoin, Caramel Accord

5. Dior, Miss Dior Roses n' Roses: This is the newest addition to my collection and I loved it surprisingly. I was not expecting it to be as good as it was. Last year Dior launched Joy and I hated it, so this was a pleasant surprise. It is very comparable to other rose scented fragrances and it is the most clearly rose based fragrance out of the five. This is not a fragrance I would wear in the fall or winter.

Fragrance Family: Floral

Scent Type: Classic Florals

Key Notes: Grasse Rose Absolue, Italian Mandarin, White Musk Accord
