I want to talk about things or thoughts that bring joy in my life. Images that are on my vision board for next year, or memories that bring me happiness. In no particular order here are my moments of joy.
1. Thinking of the home I'll one day have. I know this may be cheesey, but having lived in an apartment, or with family, or in a dorm my whole life. This is a moment I am craving for. To be able to have my own home, my own space to create a picturesque home. To be able to host holidays, and tea parties, and just to bring people together for good moments. This is a hypnotizing thought. It makes me so happy to know that some day I will be there. My dream home would be an old rusty estate with a big lot that I could put a greenhouse in and plant my own herbs and vegetables... a huge pool and a very French mason on the outside with lived in ivy on the sides of the home. This thought brings me a lot of joy. Just to be grateful that someday I will look back on all the hard times that this image made me hopeful will be tear jerking.
2. Picnics, I love this! Just being outdoors with a perfectly prepared picnic and a fresh bouquet of roses form your loved one. The cutest little picnic basket and blanket. Whether its at a park, a lake, a park. I just love this. Looking back at prior picnics and the ones that I've yet to experience.
3. THE PERFECT BLOWOUT! Or haircut, hair style, hair color. You know that feeling when you are sitting in foils or with tint or color in your hair and you get butterflies but not the good kind. The kind that makes you nervous and want to throw up or run to the restroom. It all goes away the minute the stylist spins you around to reveal to you in the mirror the beautiful masterpiece she has just created on your head. Hair for me is a huge part of my self esteem or confidence. If my hair is not looking pretty then I feel terrible. It may be a silly thing but it is how I feel.
4. Pizza is life. Get me a great pizza and my life, my mood has changed. That's it.
5. A beautiful mess created by doing my makeup, or doing someone else's. I love to see beautiful items, or creating some beautiful makeup. This will boost my mood, or whoever's makeup I did. It is so impactful to see yourself with makeup on. It is a huge mood booster. But the little beautiful items that I've acquired over time and the moments that went behind choosing each of those items. It brings me so much joy to see my collection and all of the items that I've been able to complete.
Xoxo,
Ivon Auriemma
