Desert Riding | BLOGMAS No. 3

Today's post is technically a day late, I'm sorry!
I will be doing a double post today to catch up.

Yesterday Chase, his friend Ben and Bens' girlfriend Stephanie as well as myself went out into the California desert to film a channel trailer for Chase. I was the stunt driver for the driver for the day!

The car we used was my second car, it is a 1973 Grande Mustang with a modified 371 Cleveland engine. The gas tank was also modified and made bigger as the previous owner was a race car driver and used the car for short track racing. Due to this the car has a lot of muscle power and is an iconic car that I loved. My dad bought it for me when I graduated high school. I remember being the coolest girl in school because I had the coolest car. You can pretty much hear the car coming a couple blocks away. I don't drive it recklessly as I respect the car very much. If you are interested in seeing the car driven recklessly they did a film in the mid 1970's called Gone in 60 Seconds. Linked is the final scene on youtube. I love American muscle cars!

My dream is to restore the Grande back to it's original glory days. That would make me very happy, but for now I am content to drive it in the desert as I kick up some dust and wear my leather jacket. Pretending to be in a western film. They have done a remake of the movie also titled Gone in 60 Seconds but I don't find that one to be as good, since they changed the Mustang used. It is still a good watch if you like cars.

This is Chase, from a still Ben took of the footage.

I am in love with these two pictures, I love the coloring and the ambience in the two photos. Although, the short is not yet edited and I can't link it for you to watch I can link the blog that Chase took. It is a behind the scenes look as to what our day in the desert looked like. It was cold, windy, and there was prickly stuff in all of our shoes. We still kept rolling.

The sunset out in the desert is just like all of the paintings I have seen of it. The mountains and the sun hiding behind the mountains leaving the moon and a single North star out for the eye to see. It was truly something very enjoyable, adventurous, and fun!

I would like to go back and do an outfit post sometime in the near future before it starts to get too hot over there. I do not think that I would be able to handle the dessert heat.

Here is the behind the scenes sneak peak:
